George Fernandes

George Fernandes is a Partner and Head of the Telecommunications, Media and Technology Practice at Dentons EALC East African Law Chambers, specialising in technology law, telecommunications law, and corporate and commercial law. He has advised on some of the most notable and complex telecommunications and ICT law-related matters in Tanzania.

Having commenced his career with an international professional services firm, George rose through the ranks to become Head of Legal before practising in a top-tier law firm. He later joined one of the major telecommunications companies in Tanzania as Head of Legal and Regulatory. He has handled major transactions, including mergers and acquisitions in the telecom industry and other sectors, making him a highly recommended lawyer in Tanzania.

George holds a Bachelor of Laws and is admitted as an Advocate in Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar.
