John Laswai

John Laswai is an Associate Director at Dentons EALC East African Law Chambers, specialising in real estate law, dispute resolution, and corporate law. He has significant experience handling real estate transactions and disputes, including landlord-tenant matters, joint ventures, and conveyancing.

During his tenure at the National Housing Corporation (NHC), John played a pivotal role in reducing active litigation cases from 142 to 52, streamlining case management through the introduction of a centralised record-keeping system. He advises clients across industries such as mining, banking, and telecommunications on corporate law, compliance, and regulatory issues, providing strategic guidance on complex transactions and legal challenges. He is also a member of the Tax Revenue Appeals Board, where he adjudicates tax disputes involving the Tanzania Revenue Authority.

John is a member of the Tanganyika Law Society and the East Africa Law Society.
