Anna Davis Chonjo

Anna Davis Chonjo is a Partner at REX Advocates, heading the Labour and Employment Department and serving as a team leader in the Corporate Commercial Department. She specialises in employment law, corporate commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, competition law, telecommunications, banking, and legislative reviews and reforms.

She has advised on multimillion‑dollar transactions for corporate clients including Vodacom Tanzania Public Limited Company, Airtel Tanzania, Helios Towers Tanzania Limited, CRDB Bank PLC, ECOBANK Tanzania, and FUCHS Petrolube, among others. Her practice spans corporate commercial law, labour and employment, M&A, competition, and regulatory compliance.

Anna holds an LL.B from the University of Dar es Salaam (2007) and an LL.M from the University of South Wales (2010). She was admitted to the bar of Tanzania mainland as an advocate on 10 August 2011. She is a member of the Tanganyika Law Society (TLS) and the East Africa Law Society (EALS).
