Edna Mwankenja

Edna Mwankenja is an Associate at IMMMA Advocates, specialising in Employment Law and dispute resolution. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania Mainland, representing clients in a wide range of matters before the High Court, subordinate courts, and tribunals across Tanzania.

She has rendered legal opinions to companies and non‑governmental organisations on employment and labour relations, including retrenchments, termination procedures, and termination benefits. She has represented employers before the High Court Labour Division and the Commission for Mediation and Arbitration (CMA) in employment disputes. Her client portfolio includes leading institutions such as Commercial Bank of Africa, National Bank of Commerce, NCBA Bank Tanzania Limited, Airtel Tanzania, and Vodacom Tanzania.

In addition to her employment practice, she has advised and successfully represented top‑tier companies in land disputes before the High Court Land Division and District Land and Housing Tribunals. She also works closely with the firm's pro‑bono practice in collaboration with DLA Piper’s pro bono initiative, New Perimeter, delivering pro bono services to local and international clients.
