Hon. Dr. Fauz Twaib

Hon. Dr. Fauz Twaib is a Senior Partner at Rex Advocates, where he heads the Litigation and Arbitration Practice. He is a distinguished legal practitioner with extensive experience in arbitration and mediation, litigation, land law and conveyancing, criminal practice and forensics, and tax law.

He holds a Doctor of Laws (Dr. Jur.) from the University of Bayreuth (1997), a Master of Laws from Queen's University, Canada (1991), and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Dar es Salaam (1988). He is an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania Mainland & Zanzibar, a Commissioner for Oaths, a Notary Public, and an Arbitrator. He has served as President of the East Africa Law Society and the Tanganyika Law Society, and has held leadership positions in the Commonwealth Lawyers Association and the International Bar Association. He serves on the panel of arbitrators for the SADC Lawyers Association, the Tanzania Institute of Arbitrators, and other regional and international dispute resolution bodies.
