Jeremia Tarimo

Jeremia Tarimo is an Advocate practicing in the firm's Dispute Resolution practice, based in Tanzania. He advises and represents clients on a broad range of litigation, tax, employment, and general commercial matters, and also has transactional experience across mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, banking, finance, and competition law.

Prior to joining Clyde & Co, Jeremia served as Legal Counsel at the Tanzania Revenue Authority, handling litigation and prosecution of tax cases against domestic and multinational companies. He also worked as Legal Manager for Helios Towers Tanzania, gaining valuable insight into telecommunication transactions, corporate regulatory and compliance issues, and civil litigation.

His experience includes advising on tax disputes against the Tanzania Revenue Authority, acting for Zanzibar Telecom (a subsidiary of Etisalat) before the Fair Competition Tribunal and High Court, representing multinational airline companies in contentious proceedings, advising on enforcement of arbitral awards and foreign judgments, and acting for banks in contentious claims and debt collection matters in Tanzania.

He is a duly registered advocate and a member of the Tanganyika Law Society and the East African Law Society.
