Timon Vitalis

Timon Vitalis is the Head of Litigation at FB Attorneys, with over 20 years of experience as an advocate in both civil and criminal litigation. He has appeared before all levels of courts and tribunals in Tanzania, including the Court of Appeal of Tanzania.

His areas of specialisation include civil and criminal litigation, labour law, public law, environmental and tourism law, as well as mediation and arbitration. He has handled complex and substantial commercial disputes in the extractive industries, banking, telecom, employment, competition and contract law. He has also been involved in major bank recovery cases and has prosecuted high‑profile cases including bribery, theft, corruption and fraud. A former Principal State Attorney with the Attorney General's Chambers, he has reviewed and drafted amendments to national laws regarding international cooperation in criminal matters, wildlife and forest conservation laws, and criminal procedure reforms. He is also a skilled advocacy trainer and lectures on professional ethics.
