Patricia Pius Mbosa

Adv. Patricia Pius Mbosa is the Managing Partner and an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania, practicing in Dispute Resolution and Commercial Law. With over a decade of experience, she has contributed to strategic litigation, law reform advocacy, social justice initiatives, and legal research across civil, commercial, administrative, land, family, labour, and media law, as well as arbitration.

Before joining Optima Law Chambers in 2012, she trained and worked with several respected legal institutions including Waryuba Advocates Chambers, Kings Law Chambers, Kisutu Resident Magistrate Court, and the Legal and Human Rights Centre.

She holds an LL.M in Procedural Law and International Legal Practice from the University of Dar es Salaam (2014), an LL.B from Tumaini University (2008), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law School of Tanzania (2010).

She is a member of the Tanganyika Law Society, the East Africa Law Society, and the Tumaini University Law Society. Her publications include The Role of Enforcement Organs in Relation to Female Genital Mutilation in Tanzania (2005) and Private Prosecution in the Criminal Justice System of Tanzania (2016).
