Aida Jamal

Aida Jamal is an Associate in the Corporate Department at Bowmans in Dar es Salaam, specialising in corporate law, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance. She advises local and international clients on company secretarial services, corporate restructuring, employment law, banking and financing, data protection, and not‑for‑profit organisations.

She has advised Facebook, Uber, Microsoft, and Google on a range of regulatory matters in Tanzania, and has assisted clients with trademark registrations, corporate reorganisations, and statutory compliance. She has conducted due diligence in relation to proposed acquisitions and advised on the regulatory framework for cloud computing services and payment system licensing. She also provided company secretarial services and advised on the acquisition of Smile Communications Tanzania by Vodacom Tanzania PLC.

Aida holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Hertfordshire and a Post‑Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law School of Tanzania. She is a member of the Tanganyika Law Society and the East African Law Society.
