Edius Deus

Edius Deus is an Associate in the Advisory practice at Dentons East African Law Chambers in Tanzania, specialising in corporate law, banking and finance, and regulatory compliance. He advises clients across the financial institutions, real estate, natural resources, and agribusiness sectors on a range of commercial and regulatory matters, including intellectual property and technology, corporate governance, and employment and labour law.

Edius has advised CRDB Bank PLC on the issuance of the Samia Infrastructure Bond, a landmark listed bond on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange through which the bank raised over TZS 323.09 billion to finance rural and urban road infrastructure; an international development programme sponsor on a partnership framework for landscape restoration and community economic empowerment; and an agricultural investor on the phased acquisition of large-scale agricultural land in southern Tanzania, including drafting and supervising compensation agreements with project‑affected persons and ensuring compliance with land acquisition and resettlement requirements.

Edius holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of Dar es Salaam (2018).
