Allen Lema

Allen Lema is an Associate in the Corporate practice at Bowmans' Dar es Salaam office, specialising in corporate and commercial law. He advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, employment advisory, corporate advisory, private equity transactions, and regulatory compliance, and also advises on data protection and information and communication technology matters.

He has been involved in the preparation of a land due diligence report involving a transfer of business valued at over USD 1.15 million, and successfully reduced a tax assessment from USD 9,000 to USD 2,000 in a Bill of Cost proceeding. He was part of the team representing the world's largest brewer at the Fair Competition Tribunal, and has been involved in preparing local content plans for mining clients and financial service providers, as well as the incorporation of extractive sector companies.

Allen holds an LL.B and an MSc in Global Management from the University of Salford, Manchester, and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Law School of Tanzania. He is a member of the Tanganyika Law Society and the East African Law Society.
