Amb. Mwanaidi Sinare Maajar

Amb. Mwanaidi Sinare Maajar is the Chair of REX Advocates, specialising in Energy Law, natural resources law (mining, oil and gas), corporate commercial law, governance, banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, and dispute resolution. She heads the Natural Resources Law Practice at REX Advocates, advising clients on legal and regulatory frameworks, compliance, corporate restructuring, and international contracts across the energy and natural resources sectors.

She served as Tanzania's Ambassador to the United States of America and High Commissioner to the United Kingdom between 2006 and 2013. She is recognised as a leading corporate law practitioner, recommended in Chambers and IFLR1000, and described as an "incredibly responsive" practitioner with a strong reputation as a "mining and regulatory expert." Her practice covers energy, mining, oil and gas, corporate law, governance, banking and finance, and dispute resolution, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance and corporate restructuring.

She holds an LL.M. and LL.B. (Hons) from the University of Dar es Salaam and has completed short professional courses in Italy, Tanzania, and the United States. She is a member of the Tanganyika Law Society (TLS), the Tanzania Women Lawyers Association (TAWLA) (Founding member and former Chair), and the East Africa Law Society (EALS) (Founding Member).
