Stephen Axwesso Hariah

Stephen Axwesso Hariah is a Partner at B & E AKO LAW, based in Dar es Salaam. His practice focuses on Tax Law, and he is highly regarded as both a tax advisor and litigant.

Stephen has successfully represented top mining, telecommunication and brewing companies. He is also very cognisant of corporate law, having garnered vast experience from working with the pioneers of the field, notably Rex Attorneys (now ENS), where he was involved in the drafting, negotiation and execution of major transactions.

He later worked as an in-house lawyer for the Tanzania Revenue Authority and Airtel, and subsequently moved to Brevis Attorneys, where he was a Partner before joining B & E Ako Law.

Apart from legal practice, Stephen also teaches at the Law School of Tanzania and conducts seminars on Taxation and Procurement Law in Tanzania. He holds an LLB and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law, and is an Advocate, with practice areas covering tax, dispute resolution, recovery, procurement and intellectual property.
