Edwin Prosper

Edwin Prosper is a Partner in Bowmans' Dar es Salaam office, specialising in tax advisory law. He has over five years of experience in tax consultation, providing advisory services on merger and acquisition transactions, tax due diligence, tax health checks, ad hoc advisory services, and tax compliance. He is a registered Tax Consultant with the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA), a Qualified Accountant (ACCA), and a member of the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA).

He has assisted clients across the mining, financial, telecommunications, and consumer manufacturing sectors, playing a key role in tax aspects of a major merger transaction for a global pharmaceutical and biotechnology company, and conducting tax due diligence for the acquisition of a telecommunications company in Tanzania. He has also helped a leading Tanzanian bank in responding to TRA audit queries.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgy and Mineral Processing Engineering from the University of Dar es Salaam and an Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
