Juliana Mosha

Juliana Mosha is a Senior Associate at A&K Tanzania, specialising in tax advisory law. She advises clients on direct and indirect tax matters, including tax advisory, tax compliance, tax due diligence, tax health checks, transfer pricing, and dispute resolution with the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA). She also provides tax advice on mergers and acquisitions, tax restructurings, and cross-border transactions.

She has provided tax advice on significant transactions, including BP Tanzania's disposal of shares to Puma Energy, Alexander Forbes SA's disposal of shares in Alexander Forbes Tanzania, and Hotelbeds Group's disposal of shares in Ranger Safaris. She advised Bharti Airtel on tax due diligence and restructuring in connection with a London Stock Exchange listing, and acted for East African Breweries in obtaining a private ruling for capital gains tax exemption on disposal of shares. She has advised Stanbic Bank, First National Bank, and Jumo Tanzania on tax implications of digital lending, double taxation agreements, and global mobility services, and has successfully represented companies in TRA audit settlements resulting in significant reductions in assessments.

Juliana holds a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance from Mzumbe University and a Master of Science in Finance (Distinction) from Coventry University, UK. She joined A&K Tanzania in 2020 after working as a Tax Manager and Tax Consultant at Deloitte Consulting Limited. She is a member of the Tanganyika Law Society and the East African Law Society.
