Bupe Kabeta

Bupe Kabeta is a Principal Associate at A&K Tanzania, specialising in banking and finance law, corporate law, employment law, contract law, intellectual property, and probate matters. She advises domestic and international clients on complex financing transactions, regulatory compliance, and corporate and employment matters across various sectors.

She has acted for JP Morgan Chase in connection with a USD 420 million notes and bond facility and a USD 42 million revolving credit facility, and for Standard Bank of South Africa on a USD 20 million facility to Jumo World Group. She has also advised Deutsche Bank AG, Amsterdam Branch on an uncommitted facility of USD 2.8 billion to Trafigura, and Proparco on an unsecured loan of USD 50 million to CRDB Bank. She has provided regulatory advice to payment service providers, advised on mining license ownership, and assisted with merger transactions and due diligence. Her practice also includes employment advisory work, including retrenchment, labour compliance audits, and employment contract drafting.

Bupe holds an LL.B from the University of Iringa (2014) and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Law School of Tanzania (2017). She is a member of the Tanganyika Law Society and the East African Law Society.
